A second thread of documentary work for Elucid — covering the health insurance program it runs for cocoa farmers around Suhum, Eastern Region, and a further round of mobile eye-screening photography.
Two testimonials from many collected on the ground: Vida Ankomiah Sika, who runs a six-acre cocoa farm alongside a small pig business, on the insurance covering her Caesarean section at Suhum Government Hospital without a single out-of-pocket cedi. And a farmer from Adimedim, enrolled during a field visit, on using her card for free monthly checkups since. Directed and edited on location, subtitled for wider reach.

Further eye-screening coverage from the same fieldwork as RestoringVision produced two images that travelled beyond Elucid’s own channels: one featured directly on the Instagram of IAPB — the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness — and a second selected as a finalist in IAPB’s photo contest.
