A first year in a new country is a quiet milestone. The anniversary needed to say something steadier than we made it and that the doors would still be open next year. The same week, up to 60% off needed people on Spintex Road. Celebration and urgency don’t keep the same time.
So: two videos, one day, one showroom, two jobs.
The anniversary video takes its time. It moves the way you move through a shop you have an afternoon to spend in, and lets single words settle over the furniture rather than talk across it. The promo film doesn’t have an afternoon. The offer holds on screen, and the address and the phone number stay in frame throughout, because a sale only works if someone knows how to get it.
The third video wasn’t in the brief. It gave away the part nobody sees. Being easy on camera is not easy, and the day is full of the line that won’t sit, the laugh arriving a beat early, the take that dies in the middle and starts again. I cut those together with colour bars between them and nothing else on screen. It’s the difference between being sold to and being let in.
