In Northern Ghana, basket weaving is a way of life for the Gurunsi people. For generations, women and men have gathered in open courtyards and under the shade of trees, weaving intricate designs with elephant grass, a special fibre harvested from the land around them. The technique is passed down through generations, each family refining the skill and each weaver adding their unique touch.
