“Widen The Circle” — a Jameson-backed film series spotlighting real Ghanaian artists, built around a simple idea: creativity grows when it’s shared, not guarded. Rather than one campaign film, the series follows different artists into their own crafts and the communities that shaped them, each chapter closing on the same invitation.
DanceGod traces one dancer’s story against the doubt that followed him — “people always had an opinion on how to run my life” — from solitary practice on open ground to his own crew and neighbourhood joining him mid-dance. A father’s approval, captured almost in passing, does more narrative work than any line of dialogue could.
Ria Boss & Joewackle shift to spoken word and movement, shot along Ghana’s coastline — art framed as both refuge and unity: “We’re trapped in this world, bound in the web… we give our art freely.” Stage performance and studio moments are cut alongside the coastal imagery, grounding the poetry in where it’s actually made.
Same campaign identity, same closing circle, three entirely different art forms.
