Nine months as Koa’s in-house content lead — conceiving ideas and executing them, not just producing to a brief, across LinkedIn, Instagram, and internal storytelling for a Swiss-Ghanaian cocoa fruit juice brand.
Cocoa Crisis, a six-part series unpacking the real 2023/24 cocoa supply crisis — heavy rains, disease, and price pressure hitting Ghana and Ivory Coast — through an industry consultant and real cocoa farmers speaking on camera, including Augustina Tetteh and George Agyekum. This is the series that best represents the same evidence-to-story translation work at the centre of the rest of this site, applied here to a supply chain most consumers never think about.
Raw footage arrived from Germany via a shared drive; the job was to turn it into coherent, compelling episodes — including translating German-language interviews into English using DaVinci Resolve’s AI transcription tools alongside a third-party captioning plugin.
Real institutional engagement: covering a joint visit to Koa’s Achiase processing facility by Ghana’s Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) — CEO Dr Ransford Abbey and Deputy CEO Dr Francis Baah — alongside Switzerland’s Ambassador to Ghana, Simone Giger, and the Swiss Embassy’s Magdalena Wüst. Giger called Koa “a showcase of what Switzerland can do in Ghana”; Baah pointed to it as proof of what’s possible when waste becomes an economic opportunity.
Everyday brand content, built to keep moving and stay current: product pieces, seasonal posts (May Day, Monday Motivation), social trends adapted to keep the product feeling current, an educational carousel on the cocoa tree itself, and a German-language flyer using Cologne Cathedral as a size reference to make an abstract waste statistic — 4 million tonnes of cocoa pulp wasted annually — instantly visual for a German audience. That piece used an AI voice-over rather than a studio booking, a practical call given the production timeline, not a shortcut on the thinking behind it.
From ideation to creation to publishing, with LinkedIn copywriting throughout — keeping the brand present among business leaders and the cocoa community at large.
Cocoa pulp went to waste for years before anyone thought to use it. Nine months of content here ran on the same instinct — find what’s easy to overlook, and make it worth paying attention to.
